Operation Phoenix
A stunning new book by Allen Currie
Could this happen to you?
Michael R. - If there ever was a story that predicted a very possible future this is it. Anyone who has studied the markets and understands the world of finances locally, and internationally will find this manuscript compelling. Pass it on to anyone you know who has a hard time grasping the current financial situation as they may be able to begin to understand what it all means couched in this story.
Jack.F. - I read it twice. once for entertainment and once to take notes.
Terry.S. - I am getting too old to be reading books till 4 or 5am. I couldn't put it down.
James W. - European banks melting down as the countries do; Greece, BNP Paribas, SocGen, we are watching what we are reading.
Steve.F. - I am enthralled by his thinking as well as his writing.
Linda T - It's a beautiful manuscript. I've never seen another as good in my professional experience as an Editor. I'm pretty much of an expert on "apocalyptic fiction" and this is a fantastic thriller even if it isn't gore every other page. It may even be an entirely new genre.

Are you comfortable with our darkening world?
Welcome to my website.
In the 1940's George Orwell observed a trend and said if this trend continues the world will look like this in '1984', so he put his protagonist down in this world and watched him. Largely his vision was uncanny. In 1987 a trend became clear which taken to its logical conclusion yielded the story called "Operation Phoenix." In our disturbing world this is one possible future.
Every action has its consequences. For 30 days this thriller follows the experiences of the protagonist as the world reaches a tipping point induced through decades of active mismanagement, neglect, greed, and divorce from reality by humanity. A little voice says 'it can't happen here' but it shouldn't because history proves it likely will happen. Peoples' behavior won't change until it is forced to change. Along the way the social disruption is immense.
